As an Associate Principal in our New York office, you will be responsible for helping build the team and grow the Blue Matter business on the east coast.
Job Requirements
Analytical & Strategic Thinking
- Plan and manage successful execution of research & analysis
- Client-ready key insights identification, leveraging consultants
- Understand client/account-level perspectives, in context of project
- Understand “big picture,” longer-term project/client/account significance, and proactively anticipates & elevates future needs
- Drives recommendation development with Lead input
Deliverable Development
- Client-ready email & other written communication with clients, leveraging consultants
- Client-ready slides & other deliverable development, leveraging consultants
- Drive effective storyboarding with Lead input
- Drive (and at least partially owns) capabilities development & IP generation efforts
- Drive (wholly or in part) internal projects to improve operational effectiveness at Blue Matter
Project Management
- Drive project scoping & overall project planning with Lead input
- Independent development & management of near-term work plan
- Effectively complete capacity- and staffing-related processes in a timely manner
- Effectively leverage team members to optimize output
Client Engagement
- Drive majority of client meetings and elevate discussion with prior experience and industry knowledge
- Primary day-to-day relationship owner on project
- Enhance existing client relationships by credibly providing advice on matters broadly related to project
- Effective proposal development (when requested), with minimal Manager/Lead guidance
- Identify specific, tangible future project opportunities and discusses Business Development/selling plan with Lead(s)
- Contribute to Business Development/selling activities with Lead(s)
Required: Master’s degree in Pharmacology, Cancer Biology, or related life sciences degree plus 2 years of experience in a related life sciences consulting position.
Must have:
- Experience in a manager-level role within the area of life sciences consulting.
- Experience working with new business development and client engagement.
- Experience with product commercialization for pharmaceutical products (including brand planning, product launch, and product strategy), portfolio strategy, new product planning, and organizational strategy.
- Experience with disease landscape including market research and assessment within the specialty therapeutic areas of Oncology, Immunology, and Rare Diseases.
Occasional weekend or evening work required as dictated by project timeline. Hybrid role position, working 2 days in office, and 3 days within normal commuting distance of the office location.
Compensation: Base salary range: $185,000 - $225,000 per year. Generous incentive compensation structure.
